Your complaints have been "pushed up the line" to Steve Ballmer, and
people who know Steve Ballmer know he's insanely interested in making
Windows a success, so I'm becoming more optimistic that concrete positive
steps will be taken to fix the problems you're having.  I'll report back
as I hear more....
