Noone should have to beg but I'm re-entering a message I posted a month ago... I have a friend, Father Leo, whom has gone blind due to diabetes. Presenty he has a computer which reads the screen text with a voice synthesyser program. I've told him about modem communication and this echo. Is there anyone in the Dutchess County, Orange County any area of New York who may be able to take one of his 5.25 formatted diskettes and copy this nets messages so he can hear what it's like. I'd like to get him a modem and the software to allow him to access these echo's. I can't answer the obvious guestions like; What type of IBM dos computer is he using? What are the 5.25 diskettes formatted in? ect... I have a Macintosh and can't read the diskettes he gave me. Please leave me a message or write me at: Jim E. Sherwin, 101 Union Street, Beacon NY 12508-4225. If you may want to donate a modem or sell it to me at a fair price -> also let me know, Father Leo is a Priest and does have the money to afford this luxury! Obviously, no-one in the local area wants to enlightn me on the topic. Is there anyone on this net willing to respond?
