We had a pot luck dinner for our volunteers and listeners this past week end. It was a success I think. Ten percent of our listeners came, and that was without good public transportation. I have never seen that kind of listener turn-out for a regular Reading Service event. You asked about arranging columnists like we have the TV Guide, with each numbered. The problem is that there is no intuitive way to choose a given columnist, like a time. Any assignment we make is initially going to be artitrary. However, with TV listings, you press the hour, then one for am two for pm. The Minnesota system originally set up columnists, ads etc., with numbers. Their listeners eventually requested that they be eliminated, and they now do as we do. We usually have from five to seven columnists, so it is pretty quick to run through them. David Andrews ...
