Couple of thoughts about grant money. Check with the National Institute on Disability Rehabilitation and Research, U.S. Department of Education, William Graves, Director, 330 C Street, S.W. Washington, DC 20202. Ask them for their current catalog of grants, and the dealines and application forms for future competitions. They have a pretty broad authorization to fund things, and Bill Graves use to run the Rehab and Training center for the Blind (research stuff) down in Mississippi. At least he knows about blind stuff which is a refreshing change from prior administrations. NIDRR has funded things like the SERIES computer network in Oregon, project Enable in West Virginia, etc. Also, I think Kurt Cylke at NLS is doing comething with a database, and there is a coalition called CIPHr or something like that trying to get everything cataloged. Call me if you want to talk further. Work 202-457-1498 or home 202-364-0781. Take care, Scott PS. Are you from San Francisco? If so, do you know a friend of mine by the name of Jerry Fields who use to be from San Raphael. ...
