Dr. Spira successfully treated aluminum poisoning by removing aluminum cook ware, and by not cooking in tap water, as it contains alum. Dr. Spira has also stated that "as a result of prolonged investigation into the causation of digestive disorders prevalent in this country (England), frequently associated with pyorrhoea, certain skin diseases, eczema, boils, pruritus, etc., it was found they could be cured in the majority of cases and their recurrence prevented by discontinuing the use of aluminum utensils and eliminating the poison accumulated in the body over the space of years". (1935, The Times, London.) "British Medical Journal" (16 April 1932) Dr. Coram James reports that he successfully treated several gastric disorders by substituting enamel and iron pots for aluminum cook ware. "British Medical Journal" (6 August 1932) Dr. E. H. Rink, a patient was cured of "colitis" by replacing aluminum utensils and eliminating aluminum "poisons" from the body. .
