Scott, for accessing Genie you really should try ALADDIN.  It's an
excellent tool for Genie allowing you to quickly download topics you
want to read and select from them.  It will then go to Genie and get
your selections, and you can read them.  Except when necessary, all
work is done offline.  It makes the BBSes much more enjoyable and
useable.  You can also use it to go to the software libraries.

My Genie address is J.SHAFFER5.

There's a BBS up there for Disabilites, keyword ABLE, or *ABLE for just the
BBS.  We've got a good group up there.
