Jamal:  I am sitting here in shock, reading your words.  I can well
imagine your dismay and incredible shock!  I hope that this matter
can be resolved reasonably.  If not, the NFB will only harm itself
and its philosophy.  I see nothing wrong with some militancy, and I
feel the philosophy is sound.  ACB would do well to adopt much of
it!  But NFB is often much too dogmatic and unwilling to hear
others out.  The power play in that organization is unfortunate.  I
would hate folks to denigrate the NFB's philosophy because of the
way in which it's implemented.  I also believe its leaders have
made a substantially positive contribution to the welfare of the
blind.  Calling Jernigan and Maurer "Jim Jones" -- which I read
recently on this board -- is absolutely distasteful.

We desperately need another organization.
Who knows!
