Here's some information I got from the Thansgiving 1990 broadcast of
Prime Time Pets.

They ran a segment talking about some famous people and their pets,
and William Shatner was one of the people.

Shatner owns both dogs and horses.  He likes to get up early in the
morning and ride his horse and run with his dog in the hills around
where he lives.  His horse is named TJ (as in Hooker), and his dog, A
Doberman, is named Sterling.  Shatner also owns a horse breeding farm
somewhere in Kentucky.
