Greek troops make further advances in the Pindus Mountains, and gain 
important positions around Klisura.  In Macedonia, Greeks close in 
on Elbasan.

Marshal Badoglio, Italian Commander in Chief, resigns his position.
He is replaced by General Count Ugo Cavallero.

The United States offers credits to Spain, to be used for the purchase
of gasoline, rubber, meat, wheat, and cotton.   The credits are based
on the condition that none of these purchases may be sent to Germany.

The US National Defense Advisory Committee announces that new warships 
are being produced at the rate of one every 12 days.  The application of
mass-production techniques to ships' subassemblies is credited with
speeding the construction process.
