                              L-1 Day Weather Forecast for STS-35
                              Conditions expected on Sunday, 12/2/90


          Synopsis:  Surface high pressure will be located east of the
          Carolinas and will dominate conditions in the Cape Canaveral
          vicinity.  This will produce a generally easterly flow that
          generates cloud bands which will move onshore from over the
          Atlantic Ocean.


          At 1:28 a.m. on Sunday morning conditions are forecast to be:

          Clouds:    4,000-7,000  scattered stratocumulus
                     28,000-32,000 scattered cirrus

          Visibility: 7+ miles

          Wind - Pad 39B: ENE at 12 knots gusting to 20 knots

          Temperature:  62 degrees

          Dewpoint:     60 degrees

          Humidity:     92%

          Precipitation: slight chance of showers


          Probability of tanking constraint violation on Saturday: 0%

          Probabilities of launch weather criteria violation: 35% at the
          opening of the launch window, 15% for the overall window.

          Overall chance of violation on Monday:  20%
                                         Tuesday: 20%
