Message-ID: Date: 10 Dec 90 03:24:09 GMT Sender: usenet@ox.com (Usenet News Administrator) Organization: OTA Limited Partnership, Ann Arbor MI. Lines: 27 Hi. We have some Proteon p4100s (not sure what version of the software) which refuse to let certain Decstation MIPS binaries through without the file transfer stopping in the middle. I isolated one down to the first 10K bytes, but not to the specific bit pattern. As far as I know these Proteons are *not* running the latest release of the router software. The line in question is a 56Kb link with Fujitsu DSUs. Some questions: What is the latest release of the p4100 router software? This is for the old 80286 based model with the Hyundai motherboard. Is there a particular bit pattern that Proteons are known to be susceptible to errors on? I seem to recall measurable difficulties with some stream of bytes on Pronet-80 as well. And of course, if there's a known fix for this problem that would be best. I can provide the file if needed. --Ed Edward Vielmetti emv@ox.com
