The HP-UX manual set contains a 290-page vi/ex tutorial.

Also, pick up the vi reference and the vi macro guide from this
notesgroup, posted by Maarten Litmaath (maart@cs.vu.nl), I believe.

Over the years, I have learned that vi can do anything.
