Subject: floating exception error using gcc on Sequent. Help!

Hi, I'm using the following line to compile some code on the
Sequent C compiler:

		gcc f1.c f2.c f3.c -lm -ansi

I get no compilation errors, but when I run the a.out file
I get the following error:

		floating exception

I don't know what this means, and I can't find it in the manual 
anywhere.  Can someone please help me.
