I would really appreciate if someome could help me... I have a perl program that I want to make calls to unix with.. I want to grep a file and have it parse out of that data file using grep -i a statement. Like grep -i dog data.file the it finds the line in the data file : dog : an animal the progranm then parses out "an animal" and prints it.. with out the dog and : Please post to this group or mail me at popkin@xanth.cs.odu.edu anything that can help me..
