Tigre is bundled with the Tigris Object Oriented Database, allowing users of Tigre to easily store and retrieve their objects. The Tigre screens themselves live inside of Tigris databases, allowing a much trimmer image for user applications. Tigre also supports multimedia capabilities, such as sound, and video overlay, though the video-overlay capability is currently limited to the mac, until better boards become available for the SPARC, et al.
