My problem is, since I formatted and ran badblocks, etc., I now have a few more blocks which have gone bad in the last few weeks. When I try to run badblocks on the blocks in question, of course it says "block is already allocated." Is there anyway I can find out the file occupying the blocks, and/or is there a way to "release" the block from the allocated list, so it can be marked as bad by badblocks?? Any help will be greatly appreciated, -- Greg Larkin (ASIC Engineer) Viewlogic Systems, Inc.
