Hi all,

I have a question about the difference between fsck in /usr/bin and
the one on the Minix 1.3 boot disk.  When I boot up, I choose "h"
from the initial menu, and check one of my Minix partitions (/dev/hd6).

This results in all sorts of problems, mostly having to do with bad
inodes.

Sample message: 

bad inode found in directory / (ino = 1, ino found = 14385, name = '00,
 "):?pu'). remove entry?

I usually get about ten or so of these.  I have not chosen "y".  I then
continue the boot procedure successfully.   When I get into Minix as
root, I do a "fsck -r /dev/hd6".  This does not result in any errors.

In fact, the filesystem seems to be working fine, without corrective 
action.

Does anyone know why fsck is reporting differently to me?
