I'm about to become a first-time Amiga owner (A3000), and I have heard
that there are some very useful public domain programs, etc.

I have access to a Sparcstation which has a 3.5" drive on it. Is there 
any way to down load from the net (e.g. FF disks) onto this drive, and then
take the floppy to the Amiga, and upload it? If so, how is it done?

On the subject on public domain/Fred Fish programs, what utilities/demos
do you recommend? Since I'm new to this world, any advice would be helpful.

Also, are there any good games in this arena that are recommended?
