Message-ID: <9584@pasteur.Berkeley.EDU> Date: 8 Dec 90 18:14:27 GMT Sender: news@pasteur.Berkeley.EDU Reply-To: morgan@cory.Berkeley.EDU (Alan Morgan) Distribution: na Organization: University of California, Berkeley Lines: 30 I am posting to this group (as it is the only one I can about) but I would guess that comp.sys.mac, comp.sys.ibm have the same problems, namely the lengthy tirades over which computer is better, the Wanger VII3 with optional Swiss Army Knife attachment or the Kiwi 28 Supremo with Iggydos and 14 billion shades of grey. Rather than saying "F*ck you, who cares?" may I make a suggestion? Create a new group, comp.sys.comparisons where everyone can post their reasons why the Lardass computer is the best ever and anyone who doesn't by it should take time off to evolve a brain (note to creationists, direct flames to alt.origins :-) ). This way people who want to read it (are looking to buy a computer for example), could read reams of info on the various options; those of us who know the faults of our machines but are foolish enough to be happy with them anyway can get some peace. If anyone out there thinks this idea has merit we could ask the other comp.sys. groups what they think. Just my humble (ha!) opinion. Alan Morgan morgan@cory.berkeley.edu By the way, the AMIGA is the best, my 500 can beat a 68050 NeXT, Macintosh sucks, IBM sucks, hahahahahahahahahahahammph gurgle. (Tirade canceled by popular demand).
