In a word, yes.

Apollo's NFS is *not* derived from the sources supplied by Sun (or wasn't
back in the days when we tried it). Their implementation uses the IOS
type-manager features of Domain/OS to create the NFS mount-point as a
special type of file which invokes the NFS type-manager.
