We have created an international telecommunications "environment" or "platform" consisting of over 100 schools worldwide at this time. Many more will join. If you are an overseas school, not in the continental United States, here is how to join (Alaska, Hawaii and US territories, such as Puerto Rico are eligible): 1. Contact your nearest Apple Sales field office or Apple Distributor or Apple Representative. Tell them of your interest in participating in the APPLE GLOBAL EDUCATION network. 2. Negotiate for the necessary hardware: Macintosh, hard disk, modem, printer. If you already have this -- GREAT. If you don't -- BUY IT. 3. Negotiate for the necessary AppleLink address. The Apple offices in your country must secure this for you. Be sure that you have a telephone line into your school. 4. Have the local Apple offices get in touch with us at this address: Martin Engel AGE Project M/S 76-3E Apple Computer, Inc. 20525 Mariani Avenue Cupertino, California 95014 AppleLink: ENGEL FAX: 408:974-0234 Phone: 408:974-2872 5. Send us a regular mail letter informing us of your interest. Identify your local Apple agency and contact in your letter. Include the name of the head of that office. 6. More instructions will follow. If you are a school in the United States, you must be a partner in the Christopher Columbus Consortium Project. Please contact your local Apple offices for more information. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ProLine: Noahm@pro-freedom | "I only try to make the same Internet: Noahm@pro-freedom.cts.com | mistake a dozen times," UUCP: clark!pro-freedom!noahm | --Skeeve, Mything Persons, ARPA: clark!pro-freedom!noahm@nosc.mil | /\Robert Asprin/\ ------------------------------------------------------------------------
