Sender: rnpantos@watdragon.waterloo.edu Organization: University of Waterloo References: none Date: Sun, 9 Dec 90 20:54:36 GMT Lines: 36 Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how to do the following in Nisus 3.01: grab some arbitrarily formatted text from the text layer and move it to a CAD program, while retaining its formatting. (Obviously this requires it to be copied to the clipboard as a PICT.) I've RTFM, and I can't see any way to do it. (There are those who might be tempted to gleefully point out that "you can do it in Word". :-) This is an option, but as others have pointed out, the environment in Nisus is nice enough to make going back to Word pretty distasteful. Particularly as I write code in QUED/M, and moving between it and Nisus is fairly painless.) It would be nice if Nisus checked if the text was formatted before pasting it into the graphics layer (where "formatted" := more than one font | style | spacing | etc.), and pasted it as a PICT if it was. I could then copy the PICT from the graphics layer. However, the graphics layer seems to accept only raw text. BTW, I notice people mentioning Nisus 3.04. What are the changes? Is there any reason why the "diffs" from 3.01 could not be posted to c.b.m. or mailed to me in the form of a PUP 2.0 change file? (I guess I'm directing these questions to Jon. (This is what PUP is for, after all.)) All in all though, Nisus is a great product - powerful and cleanly implemented. (And if you qualify, a steal for $99 educational :-) Way to go Paragon! --- Roger Pantos rnpantos@watdragon.waterloo.edu 4A AM Hell :-) My connection to the U of Waterloo is as a paying customer, not a spokesman. -+- Bo knows endorsements -+-
