Message-ID: <2429@sparko.gwu.edu> Date: 10 Dec 90 00:42:58 GMT Distribution: na Organization: The George Washington University, Washington D.C. Lines: 24 My new IIsi has a drive with 4 bad sectors on it. I have locked them out with SUM II Tune Up, or so I thought, but occasionally I get problems with a damaged desktop file at Start Up time. (HD needs minor repairs etc...) Is there any way I can avoid giving the machine back to my dealer for an overhaul? Is it even necessary at this stage to be thinking of having him replace my hard drive (all is still under warrenty). Is there anything I could possibly have done to upset the drive when I installed my simms or NuBus adapter? Is there, in short, any way I can stop this nonsense without experiencing too much pain? Thanks in advance! (e-mail replies to fc159117@seas.gwu.edu) Jens ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Disclaimer: I am not as deranged as I read.
