I assume you mean you want to use a serial line for network access.  Sounds
like you need SLIP (Serial Line Internet Protocol)...  Don't know if there are
any PD versions around, but you could check the various anonymous FTP's for
it....

If you just need login access (through the net modem), you can probably get
away with cu.
