I'm looking for a BibTeX style (probably some TeX macros will be required
as well) that will produce references like the following, which are based
on the 1969 {\em A Manual of Style} from the University of Chicago Press:

 J. H. Hexter, ``The Loom of Language and the Fabrick of Imperatives,''
   {\em American Historical Review} 69(1964):23-68;

 John P. Roche, {\em The Quest for the Dream} (New York:  Macmillan Co.,
   1964), pp 204-6;

 Hexter, ``Loom of Language,'' p. 43-5;

 {\em Ibid}, p. 47;

 {\em Ibid}.

That is, the first reference contains full information, following ones
abbreviated information, and Ibid is used for all but the first of a set of
consecutive references.  These references would typically appear in
footnotes rather than running text.

I didn't see anything like this at the Clarkson archives; if anyone can
tell me where to find such a BibTeX format, even if it has only part of
this functionality, I'd be most appreciative.
