I am running xterm with the -C option which *should* send console messages to this window. It isn't. I am unable to respond to talks or see system messages. Any ideas? ALSO: When a remote user is logged in, and tries to do a talk to someone in the outside world, the talk message is transmitted, but it is a request to talk from "me@my machine" not the remote user; that is it is requesting talk with the console user, not the remote user! ANY suggestions would be invaluable. regards, David Sotnick (working on getting an ethernet; sick of 19.2Kbaud SLIP) -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: I'm innocent of anything.
