When I look back on that period in my life all that I see is a selfish brute that treated someone who was really trying hard to please him terribly. She really didn't deserve the treatment that she received from me. The only good thing that came out of that treatment was that I realized that I would have to treat any future partner much better. Fortunately, I've done that with my present wife.
