Recently, in this Digest, Gavin Stark indicated that they wished the name
were not HANDICAP, and asked whether or not a newsgroup on Deaf Culture
existed.  Well, this may not be exactly what he is thinking of, but
there is a list on BITNET/INTERNET called DEAF-L.  I am the owner of that
list, and it exists for the discussion of questions/issues/concerns
related to deafness (and certainly any topic relating to Deaf Culture
would be quite appropriate).  If anyone is interested in DEAF-L, and has
access to BITNET/INTERNET they can contact me for details of how to
subscribe to DEAF-L@SIUCVMB.
