USA Lines: 49 In the past, there have been a lot of request for BBS programs and promises of forthcoming software that turned out to be vaporware. These seem to be primarily "Net Developed" BBS. This is in no way meant to reflect on the already available software, available only due to the unselfish perseverance of a few individuals. I already have a basic BBS package, written by Dean Roehrich that can be expanded upon. Dean has given his permission to this. The name of the software is Qbbs from plains.NoDak.edu. The version that I have was written for SVR3.2. It does have a few bugs that will need working out. After the bugs are out, then features can be added. If you would be interested in helping to get this running on SVR3.2 , drop me a line. I will send out the sources. All that I ask is that you do work on it and leave the original copyright notices there. The areas that are needed are: UUCP mail <--> bbs.mail Netnews <---> bbs.news change of built-in editor ( use simped ) addition af multi-user chat Areas to consider are: Additional sysop utilites? Fidonet interface? Any other dreams? Source for Qbbs, simped, chat ,etc will be provided as necessary. There will be a mailing list in place for the development people to stay in contact with each other.
