(Ghostscript 2.0) Message-ID: <11192@ur-cc.UUCP> Date: 16 Dec 90 16:20:21 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: University of Rochester - Rochester, New York Lines: 23 I've just spent a rather considerable amount of time and effort downloading and unpacking Ghostscript 2.0 onto my PC. Then, I find out I need Turbo C to compile the thing! After a little experimentation, I decided there was no way in hell the thing would go through my Microsoft compiler (MS make barfed on the Turbo make file, just to begin with). Is there anyplace I can get a ready-to-go, compiled version of Ghostscript? I just find this rather annoying that it takes five hours of downloading (2400 baud) to discover that somebody decided to use some *other* compiler... And I though I'd be safe with a nice, standard compiler like MS.... Anyhow, no flames intended at the developers. If anyone knows how or where I could get my hands on an executable version, I would appricate it. Please E-mail me, as I rarely have the time to keep up with the traffic in all of these groups. Thanx for any help. -Chris -- >>>> Chris Newbold <<<< * "If you fool around with a thing for very long you * University of Rochester * will screw it up." * Disclaimer: "All warranties expire upon payment of invoice." ctne_ltd@uhura.cc.rochester.edu * uhura.cc.rochester.edu!ctne_ltd@uunet
