It didn't work as advertised. I posted several messages to the net detailing problems with the 9600 SA, including some bug reports that I found. I was criticized (and corrected on some counts) by some people. However, a representative of PPI did indicate on the net that my bug reports were valid. I got a copy of the newer version of the software for the 9600 SA. I originally had v 1.05, and PPI sent me 1.18 upon my request. They also promised that they would continue to send new versions of the software - if they found and corrected any bugs - upon request. The newer software does in fact fix the bugs I previously reported. The modem seems to work well, but I still have many tests I'd like to do that I won't have time for until next week. More reports forthcoming. -- favourite oxymorons: student athlete, military justice, mercy killing Ken Hendrickson N8DGN/6 kjh@usc.edu ...!uunet!usc!pollux!kjh
