Lines: 14 About six months ago (?) there was a discussion in this newsgroup, initiated by Burton Leathers of Cognos, concerning Cognos's rather negative experiences with Eiffel, particularly in relation to performance of big Eiffel systems. Betrand Meyer posted a reply which stated that in version 2.2 the post-processor was sufficient to deal with the performance defects. Burton Leathers raised the Eiffel performance issue again in his position paper at this year's ECOOP/OOPSLA conference. Does this refer to pre-2.2 days or does the current Eiffel implementation still have serious performance defects that have yet to be recified ? Ted Lawson
