I was just wondering if a C to Fortan translator/compiler (c2f) was possible. If not why not ? Fortran lacks pointers but I thought someone suggest a method of getting round this problem. I not trying to undermine C by suggesting it should be converted to Fortran, but wouldn't the reverse of f2c help to break down the barriers between exculsive C or Fortran users. Paul Burney
