Subject:  Cheap POPL hotel rates.

You guys can blame me for this.  Hotel discounts and inventories are now much
like airfares, with discounts I overlooked when we negotiated the POPL site.

Apparently members of the American Automobile Association qualify for 25%
discounts at Sheraton Hotels, and this discount *does* apply to a limited
inventory of $100 rooms available at the Sheraton World for the upcoming POPL.
So go get 'em.  Reserve now and try for the cheap space, *but* PLEASE let
us know at registration that you got the cheaper, AAA rate.

Why?  SIGPLAN and SIGACT promised the hotel a certain occupancy which will give
POPL the meeting rooms free.  If we fall short, POPL pays pro rata rental.
The hotel *will* count your cheaper rate toward our room-night commitment
(even advance nights if you come early to visit SeaWorld) BUT the hotel won't
track such bookings; you won't be counted in our block if POPL doesn't know
to claim you.

But POPL *can* claim you we it *know* about you, so do let us know if you do get
the AAA (or another) deal.  It will $ave ACM (and you) $ome money.  Good Luck!
