It is my understanding the the X.400 adn POSIX specificationas are
deliberately designed to be orthoganal, and thus to be entirely
independent of each other.

X.400 defines communications protocol (at an application layer).

POSIX defines programatic interfaces for programs in operating
system environments.

What sort of interactions are you expecting in this situation?
