There were two papers given by OSF engineers at the Mach workshop ("Zone Garbage Collection", by James Van Sciver, and "The Mach Timing Facility", by David Black); both are published in the proceedings of the conference. In addition, there was a "works in progress" session given by some other OSF engineers, including myself. We talked about the OSF/1 VM system, program loader, and Mach 3.0/microkernel work going on the research institute. Since this was a works in progress session, there aren't any formal papers to go with it. However, there are three OSF/1 papers in the upcoming (January) Usenix in Dallas: Program Loading in OSF/1 (Allen, Singh, Wallace, Weaver) The OSF/1 Unix File System (Loverso, Paciorek, Langerman) Processors, Priority, and Policy (Black) so stay tuned! -Larry Allen Open Software Foundation
