I think that's good news? I received Minix for my 1000 last month and after getting it to boot using the minix.img.bu - it promptly wrote yuckos on the system disk. Are you using a standard book disk? Did you have to recreate it with the minix.img.bu? Are you using the patched boot file that was posted here a couple weeks ago? Can you format the PC style floppies with the supplied utility for making backups of the Minix disks?
