I wish to thank everyone who sent in advise on how to backup minix.
If i can find the time, I will be trying to backup and then install
minix on a plain-jane IBM 55SX during the next few weeks.

This is the first time I got on the network and I've been gratified by the 
help received (so quickly).  Also, I went thru the messages (yes - all
300 of them) and was amazed by how far minix has advanced since it came out.

As far as I can tell, I'm the only one in the U. of Hawaii system 
(7 campuses) who is trying to install and tailor an os.  Anyway, I work a
lot with Vaxes and proprietary software and all that nonsense - and can
appreciate getting source code and modifying to fit needs, etc.  It's also
fun and interesting !!
