The unix host is a Sun4 running SunOS 4.0.3. Our local IP network uses a 10 bit subnet mask, so addresses of the form: 13.0.32.xxx 13.0.33.xxx 13.0.34.xxx 13.0.35.xxx are all valid. The address of the Gatorbox is 13.0.32.. When the Unix host has an address of the form 13.0.32., then everything works fine. On the other hand, hosts whose addresses are of the form 13.0.33. cannot communicate with appletalk hosts. The Gatorbox does know about subnetting, and is configured with the correct subnet mask. The symptoms are: % getzones abInit: [ddp: 0.33, 19], [NBP (atis) Server: 0.32, 78] starting error -1096 getting zone list Any thoughts? -- Jim Mayer Xerox Webster Research Center Phone: (716) 422-9407 FAX: x2126 800 Phillips Road, 0128-29E Internet: mayer@wrc.xerox.com Webster, New York 14580 -- -- Jim Mayer Xerox Webster Research Center Phone: (716) 422-9407 FAX: x2126 800 Phillips Road, 0128-29E Internet: mayer@wrc.xerox.com Webster, New York 14580
