To reduce future headaches, I'd like to do this using a single protocol (TCP/IP or OSI). The connecting stations in this environment are looking for mainly FTP and NFS capabilities. I'm pretty comfortable with the setup over E-net, but not very comfortable with the Async. I've heard horror stories about SLIP, and so am looking very hard at PPP (but don't have a clue what products are available and if the SUN station is capable of supporting this connection). If possible, I'd like to find a single DOS (and MAC if possible) solution that would allow me to connect using either the LAN or phone lines. Thanks in advance for your help...
