It does *NOT* append any domain. Other hosts (running Ultrix and SunOS) seem to send the entire hostname. So, I'm not sure which is correct. This causes some problems for me, as I would like to be consistant with all my entries in /etc/exports. That is, I would like to specify either *JUST* the hostname or *JUST* the hostname.domain. Which one is correct (or are they both correct)? Thanks. --tony
