The install documentation >mentions a AT-6MHz jumper for wait states, I am not sure of its >location either. Our mailer couldn't handle your path; pardon the post... First of all, you need the SuperDisk - Diagnostics diskette, or you may not be able to configure at all (especially for non-default values). Anyway... W1 selects i/o base [pinsets 4-10] and wait states [pinset 2]. For 0x280, put jumpers on pinsets 4, 6, and 10. For 0x2A0, put jumpers on 6 and 10. Add a jumper to pinset 2 if running in a 6MHz IBM AT. W2 selects IRQ. Jumper on 11 for IRQ2, 9 for IRQ3, 7 for IRQ4, 5 for IRQ5, 3 for IRQ6, 1 for IRQ7. W3 is the thin/thick jumper. Remove the jumper for standard (thick). W4 is for version. Add a jumper for Ethernet version 1. W5 is for optional 300-meter no-repeater thin ethernet (vs. standard thin ethernet). Remove jumper for 300-meter. RAM buffer address is set only via software. The software also makes you re-enter IRQ (it wants to go back to the default of '3'). -- Alan Denney aland@informix.com {pyramid|uunet}!infmx!aland "She was wearing a pair of Clamdiggers that had obviously never been to a beach; and a halter top, that had been in a dryer, on high, for three weeks.
