I have used xv (an image displaying and modify utility for X) for
a few weeks now and the next problem arises :

Every now and then xv bombs out when performing some action like
rescaling, loading a picture, changing gamma.
The error message displayed is :

X Error:  BadValue
  Request Major code 12 ()
  Request Minor code 2 
  ResourceID 0x0 
  Error Serial #1586 
  Current Serial #1586

Can somebody explain what's going on here ?
