Yeah, hamsharp is pretty good, but it also eats up quite a lot of
memory.  So if you have a stock Amiga and huge images files, hamsharp
may not be able to convert images.  An alternative is to get the
"fuzzybitmap" package and do the convertion on a high power Unix
machine (like a Sun4) and then download the converted files.  I find
the FBM package extremely useful and has all the utilities for useful
image processing.
