People without direct access to the Internet can use the BITFTP server to retrieve files (mail `help' to bitftp@pucc.princeton.edu for info). However, this isn't the reason the code groups have been quitet recently... (and it's not even a good excuse...) > I am dissapointed that the traffic has been little to none in there. So am I. I've even had opportunity to post stuff. Wanna know what the problem is? Disk space. Rather, the lack of it... Yep. The Amiga code groups are archived on the same disk where /amiga and /incoming/amiga are stored. That disk is full (well, there's about 1M left). Until I figure out a nice way to free up some disk space, I can't post anything to the code groups because there's no space to archive them. Before you (all) send me suggestions on how to free up disk space, let me mention that ``delete stuff that hasn't been accessed recently'' or ``delete stuff that was uploaded long ago'' won't work since the atime and mtime on the archived files are unreliable due to reasons I won't go into here... Nope -- it's going to take a lot of elbow grease to clean up the disk... And until then, nothing can appear in the code groups... ...tad
