any real fact or information, or just from your obviously-all-knowing ego?
 
   To Randolph Turner:
Yes, barring any strange hardware design problems in the TC (There shouldn't
be any, IVS is a smart company), the TC500 should work fine on the 1000. I
myself use a a1000-kitbashed HD on my 500, and have seen a590s used on 1000s
just fine. The ZORRO bus is exactly the same on the 500 & 1000. Don't let any
know-it-alls tell you otherwise. If the device can physically be turned around
(NOTE: Turn it AROUND, not OVER. The bus is just swapped front-for-back, not
up-for-down. If you swap it up-for-down, you WILL fry something...), to fit
onto the 1000's side, it'll work great. I occasionally borrow a friend's
Micron memory board from his 1000 to supplement my 2meg 500, and it works
great too.

   It may be a trifle awkward, but it is certainly better than buying, as you
call it, 'a nice, slow, A1000 Supra-Board'.
And it will work, BECAUSE WE'RE TALKING ZORRO HERE. Amiga's ARE compatible.
