The newer HiTek keyboards I have one of those real early Cherry keyboards. :-) I do encounter a program that screws up the keyboard handshake from time to time, but I've always been able to patch the program to fix the problem. It should be noted that not all keyboards are the same, and you MUST abide by the specifications in the hardware manual (unless you want your program to work ONLY on Amiga 500s like some of those stupid programmers out there that never even heard of hard drives...:-)) -- Dan Babcock
