I'd like to see more and so t understand this better. The following is a copy of original posting -------------------------------- Hi people! I am new here to this group! I have some questions concerning the SLIP supported on the Apollo's sr10.2. I had no previous experience with SLIP at all, so please explain me in a more plain language, thanks. I will be (very possitive) in charge of maintaing an Apollo cluster here, and would like to establish SLIP connection to off campus Unix box users. I've discovered the /etc/ifconfig sl0 line in /etc/rc.local, (thanx, Robert) but I am not sure what should I do here to activate this line. And once everything is ready to go, how do I establish THE connection? Any possible help, comments, are greatly appreciated, and many thanx in advance. cyliao@hardy.u.washington.edu o Q.
