It's almost diabolical. I had specified a time limit of 30 seconds to connect in the terminal program I was using. However, the program apparently uses cycles rather than the clock to determine time, so that the "30 seconds" went by in about 10 seconds with the Zip Chip in, since it just about triples the speed of my computer. Thus, by the time the connection was made, the time limit was up and the connection was terminated.
