Instead, press Open-Apple-M to get the settings menu.  At the bottom
of the screen you will see option 0, the time constant.  Instead of
tripling the time you wait for the "CONNECT" message, triple the time
constant.  The default is 10, but you probably already were using a
faster number on your GS.  Just triple the number that's already
there.
